Restylane

Where Botox Cosmetic® leaves off and collagen falls short…
… Restylane® Really Does Work Wonders!

Restylane® is a safe and natural cosmetic dermal filler that restores volume and fullness in facial skin to correct wrinkles and folds. Restylane is composed of non-animal, stabilized hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is naturally found in the human body. It is also hydrophilic or “water-loving.” As hyaluronic acid gradually degrades, each molecule binds to more water. Over time, the same volume of water can be maintained with less hyaluronic acid. This ability of hyaluronic acid to bind to water is what helps provide long-lasting results. While Restylane is administered as an injection, it is not the same as, nor a replacement for Botox Cosmetic®. Botox Cosmetic is a medicine that blocks nerve transmission, relaxing the underlying muscles. Restylane, on the other hand, is a filler that smoothes facial wrinkles and folds. Many patients have been very pleased after receiving treatment with both products. Restylane is ideal for some problems that, in the past, could only be treated with collagen injections.

Restylane is also an alternative to collagen for creating full, soft lips. Considering the gentle nature of Restylane, it is easy to understand why it has gained so much popularity so quickly.

Results right away.

Restylane is not made from animals; it is free of animal proteins. Since 1996, Restylane has been used in more than 1.5 million treatments in over 60 countries. It is only administered in a physician’s office. Studies have shown that Restylane effects generally last for about six months. The unique NASHA™ technology helps maintain the cosmetic effect until the injected material is nearly gone. Restylane is injected directly into the skin in tiny amounts by an ultrafine needle, resulting in minimal discomfort. The procedure is simple and convenient and results are practically instantaneous. Some swelling and tenderness may linger for a matter of hours, usually gone by the next morning.
