What you don’t know will hurt you.
There are two areas of patient education in our practice.
The first area is general information for every patient. Every person needs to know how to check their skin for signs of cancer. Every person should know how to protect themselves from the sun.
Every person should know the value of nutrition and exercise. We cover the basics with each and every patient, and we make time for any questions.
The second area is information for a specific disease or condition. When a diagnosis is made or a treatment is ordered, every patient should understand why, and what to expect. Every patient should be armed with information, especially information that can help them maintain positive results and prevent problems in the future.
